INDIAN SCHOOLS IN OMAN

The online registration for admission to Indian schools will start either in the month of January or February for the year 2023-2024. The online admissions are applicable to seven Indian schools in Muscat - Indian School Bousher, Indian School Muscat, Indian School Al Wadi Al Kabir, Indian School Al Ghubra, Indian School Darsait, Indian School Al Maabela, and Indian School Al Seeb. The remaining 14 Indian schools' admission can be done through offline mode by filling out the application form and submitting it to the school office.

The academic year of Oman Indian schools starts in the month of April and ends in March with two terms. The first term is from April to September and the second term is from October to December and the third term is from January to March.

The school is affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education(CBSE). The school fulfills the three-language formula keeping English as the medium of instruction, and Tamil/Hindi/Malayalam/French as a compulsory second language. You can choose the third language (Arabic, Hindi, French) of your choice from grade 4.

The winter break falls in the month of December- January. The summer break falls in the month of June - August. Generally, the online registration for Indian schools in Oman opens in the month of December or in January.

Online registration of the Indian schools for the academic year(2023-2024) starts on 15 FEB 2023 and ends on 28 FEB 2023.

Due to the current pandemic situation, Indian schools conduct online classes from the month of April. The school management puts the maximum effort to provide good quality online teaching even in this inevitable situation.

The school committee also reduces the school fees of Indian Schools. The vacation falls in December month and the summer break falls from the month of June 2023 to 1st August 2023.

Online registration is mandatory. You need to fill in the form and submit it online.

The registration number and password will be generated for the student after the submission of the form.

You will get the registration number and password via email address and mobile number.

The next step is to pay the non-refundable processing fee of 15 OMR. You can pay either online or offline.

The next step is to email the scanned copy of the application form and fees receipt (15 OMR) to the school mail id admissions2023@indianschoolsoman.com.

In the email, you have to mention the registration number in the subject of the email and the name of the student, mode of payment, and date of payment in the body of the email and mail to admissions2023@indianschoolsoman.com.

You will receive the acknowledgment via email and SMS in a couple of days.

School Timing

Sunday to Thursday (weekday - morning shift):

K.G classes: 8:50 am to 12:30 pm

Class I to II: 7:20 am to 12:30 pm

Class III to V: 7:20 am to 1:10 pm

Class VI to XII : 7:20 am to 1:50 pm

In Muscat, most of the Indian schools also have the second shift (1:30 pm to 5: 30 pm).

INDIAN SCHOOL ADMISSION

Admission can be done through offline or online modes. You need to visit the Indian School Muscat website for online admission.
The academic year starts in April month and ends in March month.
The summer break is from June to the 1st week of August. The winter break is in December month for 15 days.
For kindergarten Kg1 admission, the age of the child must be 3 years or above on or before 31st March.
Admission to the schools starts in April month but you can put admission in any month. Suppose, you are coming to Oman in August or any month. You can get admission to your kids at any time.
The refundable deposit for new admission is 100 OMR and the non-refundable deposit is 10 OMR.
The school fees vary in each school. The average school fees range from 35 OMR to 60 OMR.
