Plastic and Cataract surgery

The ancient Indian surgeon Sushtra was a first person to introduce the plastic and cataract surgery. He was a pioneer in this field. The plastic surgery was performed in India as early as 2000 BCE. The cataract surgery was first performed by Sushruta using a tool known as Jabamukhi Salaka. This tool was a curved needle that was used to loosen the lens in the eye and then push the cataract out of the field of vision.

Seamless Celestial Globe

The world's first such globe was made by Mughal scientists who were patronized by Jahangir. Mughal metallurgists were the pioneers of the lost-wax casting method which they used to create these globes. This proves that it was possible to build the metal globes without the involvement of  seams .

Buttons

An essential part of clothing all over the world is buttons. The button were invented in India as it was proved by historical evidence and excavations. It was used by the people of the Indus Valley Civilization where the shells or rocks were pierced with holes for the purpose. Initially, they were used to decorate clothing and later it was used as fasteners.

Steel

India has been forefront in the inventions of steel. The South India was the first region to produce high quality steel. The steel was produced by the Crucible Technique. The crucible steel is well-known and sought after because of its hardness and durability all over the world.

Crescograph

The renowned Indian Scientist Jagadish Chandra Bose invented the crescograph device. This device is used to measure the growth in plants in the early 20th century.

The british were greatly surprised at these advanced rockets which were much better than anything they had ever seen. After Tipu was defeated and these rockets captured, the british studied the technology and deployed in developing their own rockets which was known as Congreve Rocket. This rocket was used in the Napoloeonic wars.
