1. Make writing fun

Scribbling is the very first part of writing. Usually, they show their interest in scribbling than writing. Even the kids love to scribble on the walls, floors, and bureau. Let the kids explore and enjoy their own way of coloring.
Buy the crayons of their choice and give them a sheet of paper to explore the scribbling. Kids are always excited to use different things. So, I would suggest you use more fun worksheets of their favorite cartoon characters and tell them to color them. Scribbling and coloring help in the development of their fine motor skills.
2. Creative Writing
Don't make the kids directly write on the notebook. Instead, follow some creative ideas. Place a whiteboard sticker on the wall, ask the kids to scribble on it. You start scribbling, then the kid will join you. Use different color markers, it helps to grab the child's attention.
You can spread color salt or rice or flour on a plate and ask your child to write or draw simple shapes like circles using their fingers.
The kids love to play with dough. You can form the shapes and letters using the dough. Ask the kids to do the same.

I would always suggest you scribble, read or write along with them. When you want your kids to show their interest in writing, you also act as a learner. You both keep the competition such as who finishes first. It increases interest in learning.

Set a timer for 1 minute and ask your child to complete it within 2 minutes. Tell them that you want to see his/her power of writing. You can call them using their favorite superhero name and ask them to finish in 1 minute.
You can tell them that hey Spiderman! you have the superpower to finish this writing in a minute. It motivates them and makes them feel like a superhero.
5. Visual writing
Writing in a notebook is not the only method of writing. Visual and creative writing creates an interest in writing.
Air writing is one of the visual writing techniques. You can ask the child to draw a car or a number or a letter in the air. It helps them to visualize the letters. You can write a letter in the air and ask them to find it. It helps to improve writing skills and visual perception skills.
Water writing is another method. You can place a tube of water and ask the kids to write on the water. It is one of the fine motor skills. It strengths the hand muscles and increases the interest in writing.
6. Break
Give them enough break between their writing. When they are writing continuously, they feel bored and tired. So give them a small break to relax. So that, they won't feel pressured and loves writing.
7. Teaching through pictures and stories
The kindergarten children always like the pictures and colors. You teach to draw pictures from letters and numbers.
My kid always loves to draw pictures. So I ask them to tell a story related to their pictures. They were very excited to narrate their own stories. I ask them to write the character name or starting letter of the picture so that I can understand the character name of the story. It creates interest in writing.

The biggest mistake as a parent we do is over-expectation. When you teach something, immediately we expect them to read and write it correctly. If they do it wrongly, then we raise our voices against them.

Appreciation always motivates the children to give their best. When they do mistakes in writing, correct them in a positive way.
When my kids make mistakes in writing, I tell them that "it is very easy for you, I hope you do it correctly next time." Appreciation builds confidence in the children. But remember do not over-praise your children.

You must practice writing every day. Fix a schedule and follow the routine. Trust me, the kids will adapt to the schedule and follow it.
